Ahead of Tranmere's trip to Hartlepool United on Tuesday night in League One, Deadly Submarine took time out to speak to Pools Fan Tom Hargreaves about his team's fortunes so far this season, the game ahead against Tranmere and his predictions for League One this season.

What is you name and for how long have you supported Hartlepool United?

My name is Tom Hargreaves and I've been a Hartlepool fan for 18 years after my Dad started bringing me to the matches when I was a boy.

ABOUT YOUR CLUB

What is your most memorable Hartlepool United moment or match?

The play off final against Sheffield Wednesday in the 2004/05 season was a proud and memorable moment for our 12,000 travelling fans.  We may have lost the game in controversial penalty circumstances but for the club to have got within eight minutes of the Championship was a massive achievement in itself.

EDITORS NOTE: Would have been us if we could take penalties. Grrrr!!

Your worst moment supporting Hartlepool United?

We used to be the League's whipping boys "back in the day" but aside from those dark times, relegation with Martin Scott in the 2005/06 season brought us back to reality in horrible circumstances.  Some fans accuse the chairman of leaving the sacking of Scott too late but I always felt he wasn't the man for the job.

In your eyes who is Hartlepool United's All-Time Greatest Player and why?

Ritchie Humphreys was recently awarded player of the century and he has been a massive player for the club.  His biggest highlight was the 2002/03 season when he won the player of the division award.  Aside from Humphreys, Joe Allon was a massive goalscoring hit amongst Poolies.

Taxi For?  To which Player would you pay a Taxi Fare to leave the Club?

David Foley.  Okay, he may have scored a wonder goal against Stoke City but he has failed to make any real impact on the team in the many seasons we have been trying to use the small, ineffective striker.  Sadly, Danny Wilson decided he would give the useless forward a three year contract so we have two more seasons with him to suffer.

Which Hartlepool United player can do most damage to Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday?

Andy Monkhouse, our main left winger, has been in inspired form of late and could do damage to any right back when on form. If Joel Porter is fit, he is swiftly closing in on 20 goals this season so your defence may have a tough time with the Aussie striker.

Is Chris Turner the right man for the job at Victoria Park?

If he keeps us up, he has completed the job.  I want a fresh and young manager at the club to instil renewed interest.  At the end of the season I hope the board get a new manager in before the retained list is released or we could have some of our deadwood for another season.

Any Hartlepool United Chants we should try to listen out for at the game?

"Two Little Boys" is a classic amongst the Hartlepool crowd.  Aside from that, expect some taunts at ex-striker Ian Moore.

LEAGUE ONE VIEWS

What is your Top Two Prediction for League One this season?

Leicester City and Scunthorpe United

Play-Off Winners?

I really hope not but I think Leeds will beat Oldham in the play off final.

Your tip for the Bottom Four places?

Hereford, Cheltenham, Crewe and Leyton Orient.  The main reason Pools will stay up, there is some terrible teams in this division!

THE TWO CLUBS

Where do you think Hartlepool United will finish this season?

16th is my prediction but I hope we get a more stable mid table finish.

Do you think Tranmere will be Promoted/Relegated from League One and why?

Tranmere will fall short of the play offs I think.  The Tranmere team doesn't quite have the quality that other play off contenders possess.

Ian Moore began last season at Hartlepool before moving to Rovers mid-season.  Was he a hit or a miss for Pools?

He is a Poolie reject but he did run his heart out during his time for us and we missed his services when he did eventually leave.  During his time at the club, I think he was a hit but he hasn't done much for Tranmere has he?

EDITORS NOTE: Always works hard and my choice for Player of the Season so far!

What is your Prediction for Saturday's game between the sides?

1-1 is the best I think Pools can get out of this one.

EDITORS NOTE: I'd take that given our recent away form!

Any other comments to add?

I imagine Rovers fans are pleased that Antwi has gone.  What a joke he was at Pools!

EDITORS NOTE: Yes we are and yes he was at Tranmere too!!

Thanks very much for your time and enjoy the game (but not too much) and good luck for the rest of the Season after the match against Tranmere.
