Tranmere's match away at Cheltenham Town on Tuesday evening in Coca-Cola League One is not unsurprisingly in doubt due to the cold weather and snow that is currrently sweeping the Country from east to west. The Whaddon Road pitch will be inspected tomorrow morning.

As a result of the ice and snow that is currently sweeping the country from east to west, the League One game between Cheltenham Town and Tranmere Rovers is subject to a pitch inspection at 11.00am tomorrow morning.

The timing of the inspection is ideal for Rovers fans who would be having to leave the Wirral around three hours later to make the trip to Whaddon Road and therefore will be prevented from any kind of wasted journey should the game be called off.

Reports from Gloucestershire suggest that the Whaddon Road pitch does have at least an inch of snow on it's surface and that this afternoon some areas were starting to freeze.

If the temperature stays above freezing tonight, the snow may be clearable and the game may go ahead.  We will bring you news when we get it if the game is to go ahead or is postponed.
