Latest Site Poll: Where Should Rovers Strengthen?

The time has come once again for a fresh opinion poll to be launched and this month we have decided to ask you about the area where you think Rovers should strengthen their squad (or should have strengthened it) during the January transfer window as we look to make a late play-off push.

As the January transfer window nears its end for another year, Rovers have at the time of writing brought in Ryan Shotton on loan from Stoke City for the remainder of the season following his successful three month loan spell earlier in the season.

In our latest site poll the question we are asking though is whether Shotton was enough or was the defender even needed in the first place?  Whether you vote before the end of the transfer window or after it has closed doesn't really matter as we ask ‘Which Area of the Rovers Squad Most Needs Strengthening in January?'

PLAYER - Curran 1

Craig Curran is out Injured along with Chris Greenacre

If you are voting after the window has closed on February 1st why not still cast your vote based on where you felt the strengthening should have been made by Ronnie Moore, regardless of what actually took place during January.

The latest poll can be found on every page of Total Tranmere usually at the bottom of the left hand menu so make your vote count and we will bring you the results in a few weeks time.

The results of the most recent site poll in which we asked you for your views on a possible Stadium move for Rovers, will be published shortly so keep checking Total Tranmere for news!

definitely need to improve going forward. we dont have a goalscorer that will get us at least 20 a season. Its in my eyes the difference between playoffs and on the fringes

I'm enjoying watching "watertight" rovers at home this season. However I think we need to do the following:

Coyne - Good commnicator and mostly OK. Flaps a bit on crosses though I feel. Maybe another Keeper given that Achto is 104 next birthday.

Shotton - Would love to keep him. If not we need a right back. No idea what Danny Holmes is like yet. Maybe give him a chance? No way on earth should we get Oh-my Godwin Antwi back.

Chorley - Superb. Solid. Keep him

Goodison - don't need to add anything here

Midfield - Don't like Sonko. Not good enough for me, so we need a natural winger. I know we've flicked moore and savage out there, and Shuker is looking better. I think we need one winger.

Shuker - coming into his best form, and I like him in his new free role, but I'd be tempted to put him out wide.

Jennings - reasonable consistent without dazzling

Kay - sweeps up perfectly in front of the back four - why I think we are tighter these days.

need another centre mid maybe? - however, Barnett looks OK last few even though we play him out wide sometimes.

and yes - Striker, Striker, Striker.... Moore works hard and is getting a few, Savage excites and is a threat but doesn't Score enough. Chrissy isn't cutting it and his injured. Curran/Gornell - yet to do it for me.

So a 20+ Goalscorer (then again who doesn't need one).

So I think we have to focus on staying tight, and get them from midfield to support, and I think thats what Ronnie has got us doing.

yes got to be a good winger for me but most of all a good striker 15 to 20 a season.
