After yet another impressive away win, this time a 1-0 victory at Leyton Orient, Deadly Submarine gives his views on various parts of the day as well as a brief summary of the game and where the result leave Rovers aheadof two vital home games in four days this week.

Weather Report
As Les Parry put it when he got off the Coach before the game, it was a "lovely day" in North East London. It was dry, at times sunny and not at all cold before during or after the game.
Crowd
5,568 were in attendance at the game with 355 of them supporting Rovers - no doubt boosted by our impressive Southern supporter base who always turn out in force for our games down south.
Referee Watch - Andy D'Urso (Essex)
A fairly well known referee and although many Rovers fans may complain about the number of second half decisions that went the way of the home team, I felt that Mr D'Urso had a pretty decent and uneventful game. Both penalty decisions he turned down (one for Ian Moore and one for the home side) looked correct at the time. - 8/10
Best Moment
In a game with few chances, the goal by Chris Shuker will go down as the best moment of the game although the superb block by Ben Chorley and a similar one by Andy Taylor, as well as a superb save by Danny Coyne were all good moments too.
Worst Moment
The introduction of Sean Thornton late in the second half brought the expected and possibly deserved torrent of abuse his way but to hear our fans shouting that "Why don't you Die" and other similar chants was disappointing and in my opinion a step too far from the usual suspects in the Rovers' crowd.
Funniest Moment
There were several funny moments throughout the day but the funniest thing was reserved for Rovers' striker Big Bas Savage. With blue hair and red boots he would have looked distinctive enough but add in a bizarre pair of white gloves and the look was (in)complete!
Tranmere Man of the Match
Chris Shuker - At first I said Ben Chorley who was solid at the back whilst Ian Moore and Steven Jennings were also contenders but Chris Shuker came up with the best performance since his return from injury and the only disappointing thing was that he was substituted as early as he was.
Connections
There can only be one connection between the Teams that is worthy of mention and that is Orient's blond (or was it Orange yesterday?) traitor Sean Thornton. With his hair much shorter than usual and a strange shade of ginger in colour he was almost unrecognisable had it not been for the booing of the Rovers Fans that accompanied his every move.
Orient Fans
"You've only come on a freebie" was the chant of the Rovers Fans and at times it sounded like it as the home side rarely woke from their slumber even when their team gave them something to get excited about. As Huddersfield have found out this season, having so many fans in the Ground on cheap or free tickets can have a negative effect if things aren't going right.
Rovers Fans
The Rovers Fans were excellent throughout again and got behind the team all the way through. There was some light-hearted in-fighting amongst them when one supporter who shall remain nameless made his feelings about Steve Jennings and his contract very clear which resulted in the rest of the fans around him chanting Jenno's name just to wind him up!
Entertainment Value
Not a great deal of chances on goal but from the point of view of a Rovers fan the entrance fee was worth every penny just to see them win on the road yet again.
Summary
How long can this extraordinary away run go on? Ten points from a possible twelve on the road in the last four games and despite a none too convincing second half display where we perhaps sat back a little too much the result was once again the thing that counted and what a result it was given our recent trips to Brisbane Road.
Two vital home games now follow in the space if four days and a maximum return will see us right up in the play-off pack ahead of the short trip to Stockport a week on Tuesday!
