Pre Match Moore - Moore's Thoughts Pre-Hartlepool

Ronnie Moore gives his thoughts ahead of the home game against Hartlepool on Saturday including his views on the first round Carling Cup exit at Grimsby Town on Tuesday night and his opinion on the fans views of loan signing from Liverpool Godwin Antwi.
Speaking to the Tranmere Rovers Official Website ahead of Saturday's game at home to Hartlepool Utd, Ronnie Moore spoke of Tuesday night's defeat to Grimsy in the Carling Cup and looked ahead to facing Hartlepool.
Moore said.....
"We're frustrated with the way things have gone, but you couldn't fault the effort or commitment on Tuesday, it was just not taking our chances. If you don't take them, you lose games and that's what happened."
"Danny likes to play football and we know what they're going to be like. You don't beat Scunthorpe 3-0 if you're a bad side. It's a game we want to win and we know what we have to do. We have to be more clinical in the opposition box and defend better when we're under pressure."
"You miss players of Ian's (Goodison) calibre and he'll come straight back in. Hopefully Danny Coyne has a good chance of playing too, so we'll be close to full strength."
Bas Savage has a virus, so we've just got to wait to see how long he takes to get over it."
Speaking about loan signing Godwin Antwi who has been much criticised in the opening week of the season, Moore continued.....
"It's unfair to single someone out in two games. People react too quickly. He hasn't been brilliant, but he's a young lad and he will get better. It's a learning curve for all the young players."
