Once again we bring you another new site poll and this fortnight we ask for your views on the departure of popular right-back Robbie Stockdale who was released by the Club just a few days after the end of the 2007/08 season – a move that came as a surprise to many fans.
Latest Site Poll Launch – Robbie Stockdale
With another fortnight flying by its time for another new poll on the site and for the next fortnight we are moving away from the Best or Worst theme to take a look at one of the major transfer talking points of the close season so far.
The release of regular right-back Robbie Stockdale came as a big surprise to many Rovers fans and to see the popular defender then move to a team in a lower Division in the shape of Grimsby Town was even more of a blow.
As a result, we are asking whether you think the releasing of Robbie Stockdale was right or wrong for the Club? Obviously the full reasons behind his departure remain unclear but some fans think it was wrong release him whilst others disagree.
Stockdale - Now Departed but was it the Right Decision?
So what do you think? The poll can be found on most pages of this site, usually at the bottom of the left hand side menu or sometimes at the bottom centre of the main page.
Make sure you register your vote as every one of them is important and we will bring the results in a fortnights time.
Feel free to discuss the current poll on our Message Forum as well as just registering your vote.
The results of our most recent poll in which we asked you ‘Which was Better, the FA Cup win at Everton or the 4-3 Comeback Vs Southampton?' will be announced tomorrow here on Total Tranmere so stay tuned!
If you have any problems finding or voting in the poll, contact our Admin Team on info@total-tranmere.co.uk.
I think it all depends how much money he was on. I certainly don't think he was one of our best players so if he was one of our best paid players then it was right to get rid.
I agree as well that his distribution was poor and he never really formed a great partnership with his winger.
Any of the wingers he had in front of him were awful defenders - Myrie-Williams, Shuker etc, actually they might have been the only two! They didn't track back or help him in defence so he couldn't really form a partnership with them, because they were so far up the field.
Because If he Is there he can mark a man (however badly) and make Stockdales job easier because he can concentrate on the Winger while Shukes Is marking the Full Back. Surely that Is obvious Matt!
Wrong. I do critisise Shuker!
And I know for a fact It's easier to mark one man and be wary of the other than be doubled up on! Cmon guys thats f*cking obvious!
