Sbragia: No Deal!

Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia says he is not interested in a swap deal with Tottenham involving Kenwyne Jones and Darren Bent. Reports have claimed that Spurs may propose an exchange deal which would see Bent move to the Stadium of Light, with Jones heading in the opposite direction. But Sunderland boss Sbragia has said: "I can't see the point of that one, Kenwyne is not for sale."

2009-01-20 - Darren Bent, Tottenham HotspurSbragia is also hoping Jones has not been unsettled by the speculation after the striker's quiet performance in Saturday's 2-1 defeat by Aston Villa.

He added: "We have players in the squad who need to go out, but there's no way I want to lose the likes of Kenwyne.

"He hasn't come to see me. I talked to him the other day and he seemed quite happy. What he has to do is try and put it to the back of his mind and concentrate on playing for Sunderland.

"We didn't gel too well up front, to be honest with you and we know that's a problem.

"But I don't think that's because of anything that's gone on with Spurs."
