Young Town defender Michael Synnott wants to put a bad season behind him and break into the Town first team next season.
Synnott was part of the FA Youth Cup winning side from last year but he broke his ankle in the autumn and now he is fit again he wants to push for a first team place.
Synnott: “I know I have to put the work in through the summer to build up the ankle and my fitness for next season.
“Next year is going to be massive for me. I've got to look to make an impression and break into the first-team squad as soon as possible.
“When I was injured the Club put my contract on hold for the year so next season is vital. I've got to break in and prove myself and I'm confident I have the ability to do that.
“This has been the worst year of my life but it has toughened me up and I'm determined to make my mark next year.”
