Town manager Joe Royle hopes to have signed at least one new player within two weeks of the season finishing.

Joe has freed up some space on the wage bill by allowing Kevin Horlock, Jim Magilton, Jimmy Juan, Jay McEveley, Aidan Collins, Gerard Nash and Dean McDonald all to leave during the summer.

 

It is known that Joe wants an experienced goalscoring midfielder as well as another centre back to help shore up Town’s leaky back line, although not naming names Joe has confirmed he has made enquires.

 

Royle: “Inquiries have been made and gone well. Hopefully we will have someone in within a week or two of the season finishing.”
