Town striker Nicky Forster says he is pleased with how his return to action for Town’s reserve side went last night against Norwich.

The 32-year-old has been out of action since the end of December and underwent knee surgery in January to solve the problem, his return to action came last night in the reserve team derby at Carrow road.

Forster: “Everything went really well.

“I felt good throughout the game and although there is a little soreness, it's only minor and to be expected.

“I want to push on from here and play as many games as I can before the end of the season. I've missed far too much football already this year.

“It will be down to the gaffer but I'd love the opportunity to play in a couple of first-team games before May.”

Town’s second string won the game 2-1, both goals coming from Danny Haynes.
