Three of Town’s FA Youth Cup winners from last year will not be getting new deal at the end of the current season.
Aidan Collins, Cathal Lordan and Liam Craig will be released at the end of the season, all three have progressed through Town’s academy set up but only Collins has made it into the first team, making five appearances.
Town manager Joe Royle: “All three are good players but we have decided that they will have a better chance of establishing a career for themselves in the game elsewhere, they are contracted to be with us until the end of the season but we have decided to make them available now before the stampede starts in June.
“We will do everything we can to try and help them find another club, thank them for their efforts and wish them well in the future.”
Lordan and Craig are in the final year of their academy scholarships while Collins is on a professional deal. Lordan has already been linked with a move to
