On-loan West Ham midfielder Gavin Williams has completed his move from West Ham to Ipswich, signing a 2 and a half year deal.

Gavin joined on-loan from the premiership side in November and so far has made 9 appearances for Town scoring one goal, that coming on his debut for Town against Coventry.

 

Williams: “I have enjoyed it at Ipswich from the moment I arrived, the players have made it easy to settle in, the gaffer has been great and it's a terrific club so it's an easy decision for me to make.

 

“When I first arrived I made it clear that I liked it here and a permanent move would appeal and I'm delighted it has worked out like that.

 

“I feel that Ipswich is a club that is heading in the right direction and if the gaffer can bring in a couple of new players to strengthen the squad, I don't see why we can't start moving quickly up the League.

 

“Reading and Sheffield United have gone but the Play-Offs are still open to a lot of clubs and while we have a lot to do, it's still possible that we could make that top six.”
