Joe Backing For Price

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle believes Town goalkeeper Lewis Price can go on to make the Wales number one shirt his.

Price made his debut for Wales on Wednesday night in their friendly defeat against Cyprus and has been praised by Wales manager John Toshack for keeping the score down and now Town manager Joe Royle.

 

Joe: “John Toshack had some nice words to say about Lewis and they were fully deserved, I watched the game on TV and Wales were poor but Lewis did very, very well and we are delighted for him.

 

“He now has the chance to go on and stake a big claim for a regular place as Wales' number one.”
