De Vos: Get Dirty

Ipswich Town defender Jason De Vos says Town will have to start being a bit more rough and dirty if they want to finish in the top 6.

De Vos: “It's a very tight division again this season and the only two clubs that have broken away from the pack are Sheffield United and Reading.

 

“The difference between them and us is that they do the ugly things better than we do. The closing down, the defending as a team, sticking your head in where it hurts, that sort of stuff.

 

“The gaffer has told us that is one side of the game we have to improve on because we know that from a football perspective we are as good as anyone in this division.

 

“If we can add that steel to our game, I'm sure it will help us put a run together and take us in to the top six where we want to be.”
