De Vos Wants Goals

Ipswich Town defender Jason De Vos wants Town to be sharper in front of goal going into the next two games.

De Vos, who ended Sunday’s game against Norwich almost up front alongside Sam Parkin, wants Town players to be where the ball will be, not where it was.

 

De Vos: “We are currently reacting to where the ball drops in the opposite penalty area instead of anticipating beforehand.

 

“Until this changes we will struggle to put the ball in the net as often as we would like. We must take the positives out Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Norwich and for long periods with 10 men we were the better side.

 

“If we take the same heart and courage into our next two away matches - at Leeds and Burnley - we will have a chance to pick up points.

 

“But what we must do is to start scoring goals again. We threw everything at Norwich, but balls were not dropping to us in the penalty area.”
