McEveley In On-loan

Ipswich Town have today signed defender James McEveley on a season long loan from Premiership side Blackburn rovers.

The 20-year-old defender was at Portman Road today to see Town’s 4-0 defeat against Preston North End.

 

McEveley made 14 appearances for Blackburn last season before joining Gillingham on loan where he played against Town back in March, James has also spent time on loan at Burnley.

 

He has been capped by England at under 20 and 21 level since he progressed through the youth ranks at Ewood Park.

 

The Lancashire side will be able to recall James in the January transfer window if needed.
