Town Closing On Duo?

According to reports in the local press Ipswich Town are close to signing Nicky Forster and another unnamed striker.

Town target Forster had been linked with moves to a number of championship clubs, one of which was Sheffield united but that rumour has been denied by Blades boss Neil Warnock, who has said: “It seems people are just using me at the moment. Every day there seems to be someone new coming to us.

 

“Nicky Forster at Reading is one and we have no interest in him. I was supposed to be after Stephen McPhail of Barnsley and Alan Lee of Cardiff but I have no interest in them either.”    

 

The other striker is yet unnamed but is likely to be from the lower leagues, but Palace striker Doguie Freedman could be one possible target as well as Bruce Dyer of Watford, both players are avaible on free transfers so fit well within Towns budget.
