Miller Snr On Miller Move

Ipswich Town midfielder Tommy Miller’s agent, Tommy Miller senior has confirmed that subject to Tommy Jnr passing a medical he will join Sunderland.

 

The 26-year-old got 15 goals for Town last season but is out of contract and has been linked with moves to Sunderland, Celtic, Leeds and Crystal Palace as well as staying at Town for another two years.

 

Miller senior: “Subject to him passing his medical next Wednesday, he is signing for Sunderland.

 

“He had plenty of options, but if he was going to stay in the Championship, he would have stayed with Ipswich.

 

“I think it is the only club he would have left Ipswich for because he has had a great time down there and played under two very good managers.”
