Davis Move Complete

Ipswich Town goalkeeper Kelvin Davis has today completed his transfer to newly promoted premiership side Sunderland.

The Championship PFA goalkeeper of the year has signed a four year deal with the black cats, Sky Sports are reporting the fee for the 28-year-old.

 

Davis has said:“Sunderland are a terrific club and I'm really looking forward to the new challenge.

 

“In many ways, joining Sunderland was an easy decision to make but in others it was very hard.

 

“That's not me sitting on the fence.

 

“It's just that I loved playing for Ipswich Town.

 

“It's a brilliant club and in the time I've been there I can count on one hand the number of people I didn't get on with.

 

“On the other hand though this is a great opportunity for me.

 

“It's a chance to play in the Premiership for a club famous for its passionate fans, with a great stadium and great facilities.

 

“It's a new challenge and I'm really looking forward to it.”
