Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle has backed Town midfielder Darren Currie to make up for glaring miss at Leeds on Saturday.
The 30-year-old midfielder missed a golden opportunity to give Town all three points against Leeds on Saturday, some how sending the ball wide from 8 yards with most of the goal to aim at.
Royle: “Darren normally puts them away with either foot. I wouldn't have
wanted anyone else in that position.
“Shefki Kuqi has missed one that was
just as easy in the first half while Tommy Miller has had a shot blocked and
another has drifted wide.
“It was one of those days where it was not
going to be because they have not caused a problem in 90 minutes and the one
they scored came from a bread and butter cross that we should have dealt
with.”
