Currie: Im Gutted

Ipswich Town midfielder Darren Currie has admitted he felt sick at not taking a golden chance to win Town’s game against Leeds.

The 30-year-old missed probably one of the best chances of the game with just minutes go hitting the ball wide from just 8 yards.

Currie: “I feel absolutely sick to be honest.

“I pride myself on my touch and not to even hit the target from there has really left me gutted.

“If the 'keeper had made a save then fair enough, but I didn't make him work and that is very disappointing, especially as it would have given us three great points.

“I thought we should have won the game, we were the more positive team but it's two points gone by and we have to take six points from our last two matches.

“I have always felt that it would go to the last game anyway but if we can beat Crewe and Brighton, I reckon that will be enough to take us up.”
