Ipswich Town will be hoping to return to winning ways when they play Watford at Vicarage road tomorrow.

Town go into the game against Ray Lewington’s Hornets on the back of two draws which only came because of two very late goals and Watford go into the game looking to put an end to a five game non-wining run, helping them do that is likely to be former Manchester United player Danny Webber who is one of the championship’s leading scorers this season with 9 goals to his credit.

Ipswich manager has minor goalkeeping crisis at the minute with Kelvin Davis not expected to train until next week and Shane Supple out after breaking a toe during a reserve game so Lewis Price is the only fully fit goalkeeper at Portman Road although goalkeeping coach Andy Rhodes has been registered to play his registration did not go though in time for him to eligible to play tomorrow so Town are likely to have no substitute goalkeeper so Aidan Collins comes into the squad in Shane’s place but other than that an unchanged squad from the game with Leicester City on Tuesday night.

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle has said: “We couldn't register our goalkeeping coach Andy Rhodes in time for Saturday but if the situation with Shane puts him out for a few weeks we will look at bringing someone else into the squad anyway.”.

Royle also believes that Watford have a strong strike partnership in the shape of Danny Webber and Heidar Helguson, adding: “They are a good combination and among the best strike pairings in this division, both are scoring goals, Webber in particular, and we will have to make sure we keep organised and concentrated at the back.”.

Watford boss Ray Lewington could be with out six players for the game tomorrow; Brynjar Gunnarsson injured him self in the warm up prior to the game with Sunderland, Paul Mayo just got over a groin strain, Paul Devlin irritated a hamstring and will probably be out for two weeks, Andy Ferrell is out with a ankle problem, Omari Coleman is out until the new year and Marcus Gayle is fit but lacking match fitness.

Ray Lewington believes that Ipswich are a good side but that might work in Watford favour, saying: “There's no doubt we play better against teams that come at us, It suits us because it means we can have a go back at them. Ipswich on their day are an excellent side and are one of the top three or four sides in the division. They are always capable of scoring goals from many different avenues, but you always feel you have a chance against them.

“They are a terrific side. When they get one they could get three or four like they did against us at Portman Road last year, but they didn't keep too many clean sheets last season and you can always get at them. Joe Royle's philosophy is always to produce teams that like to pass and attack - they are a side I would go to watch if I was a neutral.”.
