De Vos A Doubt
Ipswich Town defender Jason De Vos has emerged as a doubt ahead of Saturdays game against Burnley with a fractured toe.
De Vos is by no means ruled out of tomorrows game against Burnley but Joe Royle has added Jerrome Sobers to the squad in case the results of scans so the worst for De Vos.
Joe Royle: “His toe is black and blue and has all the symptoms of a fracture, it's swollen and he will have a scan to see what the damage is so obviously he is a doubt for the weekend but we have not ruled him out yet. We will see what the scans show first.”.
But on the plus side Darren Bent’s hamstring problem is only a strain so he
should only miss three games, Joe Royle added: “The x-rays have shown there is
no tear of the hamstring, just a strain.
“He is likely to be out for
seven to 10 days which is not great news but it's better than a tear which could
have put him out for a month.”.
