Darren And Davis Doubts

Ipswich Town duo Darren Bent and Kelvin Davis are both doubts for Saturday’s visit of Burnley to Portman Road.

Davis has been missing in goal for Town for the last game and a half after a back injury with Lewis Price standing in for him while Darren Bent is suffering from a tight hamstring he picked up while away with the England under 21 squad.

Ipswich manager Joe Royle has said: “It looks like Lewis will get another chance this weekend, Kelvin is still not 100 per cent and is unlikely to make it and it's the same with Darren.

“He will have a scan on his damaged hamstring but at best it's a strain, at worse a tear and that could mean him being out for three or four weeks.”.

This and the suspension of Fabian Wilnis leaves Joe Royle with a small selection for Saturdays game, does he stick with 4-3-3 with Pablo Couñago starting or leave Pablo on the bench and revert to 4-4-2 leaving Pablo with good cause to feel Joe Royle does not want him.
