Dean On His Role For U19’s
Ipswich Town striker Dean Bowditch has been speaking about his role in the England U19 game against the Czech Republic last night.
Dean set up England’s goal during last nights 1-1 draw and put in an all round good performance and even managed to win over Carrow Road.
Dean has said: “I was pleased, both with my own and the team's performance,
we were annoyed with the goal we let in because it was a set-piece and we hardly
ever concede from set-pieces.
“My pass to Lee Holmes which resulted in
our goal was just like the one I scored against Coventry; a long ball from me
over on the right and all Lee had to do was tap it in.”.
Dean played both up front for the second half and spent the first half on the left hand side as a winger, Dean believes the central role is harder, adding: “It's a lot harder in the middle because as a wide man you have more space but I like to think that I'm versatile and the manager, Martin Hunter, can put me where he wants,”.
