Ipswich Town head groundsman Alan Ferguson has added another trophy to his cabinet, after winning the Institute of Groundsmanship Groundsman of the Year award.

Ipswich Town head groundsman Alan Ferguson has added another trophy to his cabinet, after winning the Institute of Groundsmanship Groundsman of the Year award.

Ferguson can add this to the five trophies he and his team have won for the division and his previous Institute of Groundsmanship Groundsman of the Year award. Alan beat off competition from all 92 league clubs in England and those north of the boarder in Scotland.

Hartlepool, Southampton, Mansfield and Dundee United all were crowned runners up to Alan, his team and the Portman Road pitch.
