Ipswich Town defender Jason De Vos says he will be fit and ready to play Millwall on Sunday despite a swollen knee.
The 30 year old Canadian international has said: “I hypo-extended the knee
which jarred it and it became swollen during the flight home.
“There is
no structural damage to the bone or ligaments and there is no way it would be
enough for me to want to miss a game.”.
De Vos is back England after being booked twice while with Canada which rules
him out of Canada’s game against Costa Rica tonight, and De Vos isn’t too happy
about the way the Mexican referee called the game, adding: “His decisions could
cost us qualifying for the World Cup and I'm extremely disappointed that I could
miss out on the chance of playing in the finals.
“It will take a long
time to get over that but at least there is a game on Sunday, where I can vent
my frustrations by playing as well as I can for Ipswich.”.
