League one side Bristol City have decided not to pursue their interest in former Ipswich Town striker Alun Armstrong.

League one side Bristol City have decided not to pursue their interest in former Ipswich Town striker Alun Armstrong.

The 29 year old front man has been searching for a new club since being released by town at the end of his contract in June and has had a trial at Ashton Gate and more recently at Rotherham with Walsall and Colchester United have also expressed and interest in him.

Bristol City manager, Brian Tinnion has said: “I have spoken to his agent but Alun has had a lot of injuries over the last few years, It's not a situation we need here at the moment. We need someone who is fit and ready to go.”.
