Rotherham Preview
Ipswich Town return to league championship duty tomorrow, travelling to south Yorkshire to play Rotherham at Millmoor.
Joe Royle only has one injury concern ahead of tomorrows game, full back Matt Richards missing out after a cut in his foot became infected, Fabian Wilnis is likely to play at left back with Drissa Diallo playing at right back with De Vos and Naylor in the middle of the back four.
Jim Magilton should feature after recovering from a thigh tear, he may well replace Tony Dinning in the starting 11.
Even after last years 3-1 win at Millmoor and towns good start and Rotherham poor start, Joe Royle is not expecting the game to be an easy win, saying that: “Rotherham have not had the best of starts but I don't expect them to be involved in a relegation battle, they are a strong, physical side who will look to get the ball into the box early but they have got players who can play as well so it will be a difficult game for us.
“Rotherham love beating the bigger clubs, if I can put it like that, and I'm sure Ronnie Moore will have his team fired up for the game.”.
Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore will be with out the services of Martin Butler and Andy Monkhouse and could be with out Phil Gilchrist who will face a fitness test tomorrow and Paul McLaren may only be fit for the bench.
Rotherham boss, Ronnie Moore is expecting a close game but also a good one, saying that: “We have had some blinding games against them. Last season we were unfortunate to lose both games but the season before we were fortunate to win them both so it's swings and roundabouts.
“Here last season we were one up and cruising after we had hit the post when we could have added a second. Then Jermaine Wright hit a wonder goal from 25 yards and until that went in with 20 minutes to go, there only looked likely to be one winner.
“Joe Royle always has a quality team with quality players and he likes to play football the right way so we know we have a game on.
“But we know we can get in their faces and stop them from playing and if we do the right things when we get the ball, then they will know they have been in a game as well.”.
Ipswich Town squad: Scott Barron, Darren Bent, Dean Bowditch, Pablo Couñago, Kelvin Davis, Drissa Diallo, Jason De Vos, Tony Dinning, Kevin Horlock, Shefki Kuqi, Jim Magilton, Tommy Miller, Scott Mitchell, Richard Naylor, Lewis Price, Ian Westlake, Fabian Wilnis.
