Ipswich Town defender Jason De Vos is to be rested on Tuesday night when Ipswich town take on Brentford in the Carling Cup first round.

Ipswich Town defender Jason De Vos is to be rested on Tuesday night when Ipswich town take on Brentford in the Carling Cup first round.

De Vos who has played all four games this season with a fracture in his fibula but Ipswich manager Joe Royle wont be risking him on Tuesday night, Royle saying that: “Jason was terrific, but he won't be risked on Tuesday. We'll give him a full week to get fit for the game at Rotherham.”.

Joe Royle didn’t rule out any changes adding that: “We will be making some changes for the Brentford game, but we can't rest too many as we haven't got that many.”.
