The 20 year old who won both the fans player of the season and the Singing
The Blues player of the year last season has said that: “An awful lot has
happened to me in a short space of time.
“Two years ago I was in the
reserves and if you'd told me that I would now be a first-team regular and in
the England Under-21 squad I simply wouldn't have believed you.
“There
were better players around when I was a kid, but it doesn't always work out for
them for a number of reasons. I just knuckled down and decided to work as hard
as possible, then I was determined to make the most of my chance if it came
along.”.
