Out of favour full back Fabian Wilnis could make a return to the first team tomorrow night when Ipswich town travel to Nottingham.

Out of favour full back Fabian Wilnis could make a return to the first team tomorrow night when Ipswich town travel to Nottingham.

Wilnis has been left out in the cold for part of pre-season due to injury and Drissa Diallo doing a fairly good job filling as a right back, but with Jason De Vos possibly missing tomorrow nights visit to Nottingham Diallo could move into the centre of defence along side Richard Naylor and Fabian comes in as a right back.

Joe Royle has said that: “Fabian has been unlucky not to be playing. He dropped out through injury and Drissa has come in and grabbed the position.

“If Drissa has to move across then we are in a fortunate position where Fabian would come in and we would be perfectly happy.

“In an ideal world I would like another defender and a forward but financially we are restricted and we are covered.

“If it got to the stage where we had to bring someone in then we have contingencies and all the time we are waiting for answers back from other people.”.
