Ipswich Town goal keeper Kelvin Davis has praised Ipswich boss Joe Royle for the summer signing of Kevin Horlock.

Ipswich Town goal keeper Kelvin Davis has praised Ipswich boss Joe Royle for the summer signing of Kevin Horlock.

Davis believes that the midfield man will shore up what was a very leaky defence last season, saying that: “Kevin was exceptional against Gillingham on Saturday, his distribution was fantastic and he was never afraid to throw in a hard tackle in midfield when it mattered.

“Kevin is the type of player we missed last season when we got into a defensive rut, which was hard to get out of.”.
