Former Ipswich Town manager George Burley is backing Ipswich to be in or around the promotion contenders come may.

Burley who managed town at the time of our last successful promotion push is backing us to be there or there abouts by the end of the year.

Burley has said that: “It was a cracking game on Wednesday and Ipswich played very well.

“They have got some excellent players and in Jason De Vos, someone I was interested in signing myself and he proved why against Newcastle.

“Ipswich showed they can be among the promotion contenders again this year and I'm looking forward to our game against them in a few weeks.”.
