Ipswich Town defender George Santos has today agreed a two year contract with “championship” new boys queens park rangers.

Ipswich Town defender George Santos has today agreed a two year contract with “championship” new boys queens park rangers.

Subject to passing a medical the 33 year centre back should sign for QPR on Monday, Ipswich will not receive a fee for Santos as he is has been allowed to leave for nothing as Ipswich boss feels there is enough defenders at Portman Road. However QPR boss Ian Holloway has the problem of not enough defenders after losing three this summer.

Holloway has said that: “He's a player I've had my eye on for a while. I wanted to bring him in last year, but Ipswich wouldn't let him go.

“He plays the way I want, he's very quick, a great communicator and I'm looking forward to working with him.”.

Singing The blues would like to wish George and QPR luck for the coming season, apart from when they play Ipswich.
