Jewell Not Making Excuses

New Town manager Paul Jewell is not making any excuses for Town's defeat against Millwall on Saturday.

Jewell: "It's been a hard week. The players had a tough run out against Chelsea and then put in an unbelievable performance against Arsenal on Wednesday.

"It's been tough physically and mentally but I don't want to use that as an excuse. We can't feel sorry for ourselves.

"We gave away a bad goal before half-time and their second one looked offside but we have to get on with it.

"The commitment was there and if we can marry that with that bit of quality then we will be okay.

"It will be good to get out on the training ground this week and get some work into the players. We've not had the chance to do that so far with just one training session."
