Town Eyeing Lambert?

Town are amongst a trio of clubs reportedly keen on signing Bristol Rovers striker Rickie Lambert during the transfer window. The 27-year-old has found form this season, scoring 25 goals this season, his best ever for one season.

Lambert started his career at Blackpool, but found his chances limited making just three appearances before he moved onto Macclesfield, where he scored 10 goals in 49 appearances, before joining Stockport for £300,000. He made more then 100 appearances for Stockport scoring 19 times before being sold to Rochdale for £25,000.

His form improved while with Rochdale and eventually lead to a £200,000 move to Bristol Rovers, where he has scored 54 goals.
