Town midfielder Jon Walters will not need surgery on his ankle ligaments after seeing a specialist in London this week. Walters injured his ankle during Town's draw with Wolves earlier this month, scan revealed he had damaged ligaments which may have needed surgery, but this is currently not the case.

Town physio Matt Byard: "We have taken advice on the injury and been told that no surgery is needed at the moment.

"We will see how Jon progresses over the next couple of weeks and he will then be reassessed but at this stage we will not be going down the operation route for recovery."
