McManus Link Denied

Town chairman David Sheepshanks and manager Jim Magilton have both denied reports suggesting they made an enquiry about Chester youngster Paul McManus. Yesterday Chester claimed Town had made an enquiry about the 17-year-old striker, but both Mr Sheepshanks and Magilton have denied those claims.

Town chairman David Sheepshanks: "I'm not sure where the reports have come from but I have not spoken to anyone from Chester since we played them in the FA Cup last season."

Town boss Jim Magilton added: "He's not a player that has come across our radar yet."
