Leggi still isn't back so once again I'm filling in for him (I better get over time for this) and doing his column, this week looking at Crystal Palace. The Crystal Palace we know today was formed in 1905 but there was another Crystal Palace FC formed in 1861 and were founding members of the football league but they disappeared and 1905 the "new" Crystal Palace was born, there is no direct link between the two clubs although both clubs started off by using Crystal Palace stadium as their home ground. Palace have since then played at three different home venues, Herne Hill Athletics Stadium, The Nest and their current home Selhurst Park.

Last season Palace finished 12th in the league, 2 places and 3 points ahead of Town. The game at Portman Road last season ended in defeat for Town but the day was more remember for Sir Bobby Robson having to be taken to hospital 10 minutes into the game.

Town's biggest win against The Eagles was 4-1 in the 3rd round of the league cup back in 1996, with Alex Mathie and Paul Mason getting two goals each. Town's heaviest defeat against The Eagles was also 4-1, back in 1979.

Player to watch: Its hard to pick just one so keep an eye on former Town players Shefki Kuqi and James Scowcroft as players often come back to haunt old clubs. Clinton Morrison and Dougie Freedman are another two strikers capable of getting goals.
