Two of Town's coaches will be making trips into Europe in the next few weeks, hoping to learn from some of the top sides in Europe. Town's goalkeeping coach Andy Rhodes will be flying to Germany to spend a week working with Bayern Munich's goalkeeping coach Sepp Maier, who won the 1974 World Cup with Germany.

Rhodes: "I'm looking forward to it, I'll be there for the week, looking at the way that Bayern work with their 'keepers.

"It's a great opportunity to see how a top European club works on the training ground and I'm sure it will provide us with some new ideas that we can look to take on board here."

Meanwhile Steve Foley is going to Spain today to spend some time at Valencia, possibly arranging a deal that will see some of the Spanish clubs players come to Town on-loan.

Foley: "A link-up is possible and I shall be meeting Valencia coach Quique Flores again.

"There is a chance we can loan players from one club to the other, and a spell in Spain would be beneficial to one or two of our youngsters.

"I like the tempo of Spanish football and technically it is very good.

"I shall be spending time this week watching coaching sessions looking at different exercises and different systems.

"I may be 53 but I am always learning."
