Gavin Back For Summer

Town midfielder Gavin Williams should be fully fit for the start of pre-season training, if his abductor injury is cured.

Williams has been struggling for most of the season with what was thought to be a groin injury but a visit to specialist Per Holmich in Denmark has found it is an abductor injury but if all goes well Gavin should be fit for pre-season.

 

Town manager Jim Magilton: “Gavin will be having a busy summer working and will be on a six-week prevention and rehabilitation course.

 

“The specialist has identified exactly where the problem is coming from and he is working on readjustment.”

 

The outlook is less rosy for Dean Bowditch, with Magilton adding: “Dean has tendinitis in the groin and we may need to go down surgical route with him and that could take some time.”
