PMM: Town 1-0 Swansea

Town manager Jim Magilton says Town just about deserved the 1-0 win against Swansea City earlier today.

Jim: “He (Trundle) is one of their better players and showed quality when he came on. They came to frustrate us and had a game plan that did not include Trundle.

 

“I didn't think they were going to hurt us before the interval but they looked like a side who could play in the Championship. They passed the ball very well.

 

“We acquitted ourselves well. We had a few scary moments in the second half but we expected that because Swansea are a good side.

 

On the penalty, Jim added: “At first I was devastated that Jaime Peters had missed the target because he got in a good area, but the referee was on the spot.

 

“Alan Lee kept his composure again. He stepped back while all the commotion was going on.

 

“I think we just about scraped it. We started okay but Swansea got better and better.”
