PMM: Sunderland 1-0 Town

Town manager Jim Magilton says he will step up his search for a striker after Town’s 1-0 defeat against Sunderland earlier today.

Jim: “We are aware that our goals record has not been good lately and it's an area that we are looking at strengthening, we are searching for a new striker. Danny Haynes and Billy Clarke are both going to be good players but we need another frontman in.

 

“Danny was unlucky not to score. It took a great clearance to stop him and overall we deserved to get an equaliser," said the boss.

 

“The goal helped Sunderland settle down but we showed plenty of character and quality in the second-half and took the game to them.

 

“Lewis Price didn't have a lot to do and not many sides can say that about their goalkeeper when they play at the Stadium of Light.”
