Sylvain Shocked

Town midfielder Sylvain Legwinski is shocked that a penalty was awarded against him in Town’s game against West Brom earlier today.

Referee Clive Penton awarded West Brom a penalty early in the second half of the game today, much to the bemusement of Legwinski.

 

Sylvain: “The referee told me the penalty was for deliberate handball and that he was booking me as well, it was a decision that I just couldn't understand. I was so close to the player I couldn't get out of the way. I wish I had reactions that quick that I could get my arm out of the way but I don't think anyone is that quick.

 

“It was the crucial moment in the game. Up until then we had looked in a good position to get at least a point.”
