Report: Coventry 1-2 Town

Town’s Christmas present came a day late as they beat Coventry City 2-1 earlier today.

Jon Macken scored the first goal of the game just after the hour mark to give Town a 1-0 lead, Alan Lee made it 2-0 with 5 five minutes to go.

 

Michael Doyle gave Coventry hope of a point with his 90th minute goal but Town held on to take all three points.

 

Coventry: Marshall, Duffy, Bischoff, Ward, Clarke (Hall 66), Cameron (Birchall 63), Hughes, Doyle, McKenzie, Adebola (Kyle 63), John.
Subs Not Used: Osbourne, Virgo.

Goals: Doyle 90.
