Town Bid For Macken?

According to one of this mornings tabloid newspapers, Town have made a £250,000 bid for Crystal Palace striker Jon Macken.

Town manager Jim Magilton did confirm yesterday that he did want to take Macken on-loan from the Eagles.

 

The 28-year-old striker has made very little impact at Palace since his £750,000 transfer from Manchester City in 2005, scoring just two goals in 29 appearances but his strike rate during his time at Preston is much more impressive 74 goals in 229 games while his injury hit spell at Manchester City saw 12 goals in 59 appearances.
