Bolton Away: Match Preview

Steve Evans will be searching for his first win as Leeds United boss today as the Mighty Whites travel to bottom side Bolton Wanderers. Confidence is high at Thorph Arch after a much improved peformance against Fulham in midweek.

Wanderers have only take 2 points from their last 6 games and seem rooted to the bottom of the table so nothing short of a win will please United fans. Evans has no new injury concerns to worry about after the return of Cooper in midweek, but will monitor Chris Wood who was the victim of a heavy challenge after 70 minutes in midweek.

Leeds biggest threat could be the man-myth himself Emile Heskey as new signing Shola Ameobi isn't yet clear to play for Bolton. Defender Byram is expected to retain his place in the starting line-up with Botaka pushing for a start.

Warnock celebrating his winner against Bolton last season at Elland Road.

Last Season's Results: LUFC 1-0 BWFC (Warnock)       BWFC 1-1 LUFC (Gudjohnsen, Austin)

Top Match Facts: Bolton has won just 1 of their last ten home games against United. Although that victory came in May 2004, effectively relegating Leeds from the Premier League.

The last time Simon Hooper refereed a Leeds game was August 2014, when United defeated Bolton 1-0 at Elland Road.

Possible Starting XI: Silvestri, Byram, Bamba, Cooper, Bellusci, Buckley, Adeyemi, Cook, Botaka, Wood, Antenucci

Details:
Location:
Macron Stadium, Bolton         K.O: 15:00        Referee: Simon Hooper (13 games, 31 Yellow)          Coverage: BBC Radio Leeds

Mighty Whites Prediction: It's never easy going away to Bolton, even when they're on a dier run of form. They'll be looking to bounce back from a run of 3 defeats but I think we'll have enough to beat them. I predit BWFC 0-2 LUFC, with Wood and Antenucci getting one each.
