Leeds owner Massimo Cellino gave possibly one of the most bizzare interviews of all time alongside Adam Pearson today. He didn't really clarify much and just left all us fans twice as baffled to the current situation as we were beforehand!
The big question on everyone's lips was what the fate of Neil Redfearn was to be. It's fair to say we're not much the wiser now, with the Italian giving off a lot of mixed messages.
Initially he deferred the Redfearn question, and asked for it to be brought up later. He then said that nobody wants Neil to succeed more than he does, yet he made several hints that Redfearn is in a very precarious position by stating, "Are you sure he's that good? Is Neil best for the future? I have to find the best coach for this club".
The charismatic Italian continued to mistify us with his words (and confuse us) by saying he knew nothing of the Thompson suspension. "Thompson is a good man. It's hard to believe but I don't know what happened. I was disqualified". Whatever you say Massimo...
Pearson was sat there throughout the meeting. We would tell you what he said but he nodded like a Churchill dog and "Oh YES" was pretty much everything he said. The definition of a yes man it would seem.

Cellino made it clear that he is the man who will sign the players. Letting everyone know he sold Warnock without telling Redfearn and that the £9.5 million McCormack money "went on garbage", to which one reporter quipped "didn't you sign some of them".
After taking himself off for a cigarette break and leaving Pearson to carry on the question dodging, he came back to (almost) confirm that Salerno will be out of a job, saying that someone "English who speaks English" would be needed for the Sporting Director role.
A supporter managed to sneak into the conference and pressed Cellino on signings, specifically Cani, to which the Italian replied "I dont know Cani. I never saw Cani."
All in all some crazy stuff. Redfearn looking at the sack, Salerno practically out, Pearson a yes man and Cellino is a loony.
On the bright side he said he'd leave in two seasons if we weren't promoted, which looks like a dead cert to me.
