Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino is set to retake control of the club on Monday but claims that the problems facing the club are larger now than they were when he took over, despite Redfearn assuring Championship safety for the club.

The Football League has permitted Cellino to attend this weekend's final game of the season against Yorkshire rivals Rotherham United at Elland Road but apparently the charismatic yet controversial owner is still to decide whether he will attend what could be Neil Redfearn's last game in charge.

He would only be allowed to attend the game as a spectator and could not be involved in the running or preparation of the match as this would breach his ban on being a 'relevant person' at the club. He is also unsure as to whether he will attend the End of Season awards despite being back in Leeds as of this weekend.

Cellino has been absent during an unstable period for the club, with popular manager Neil Redfearn yet to be offered an extension on his contract and with his assistant Steve Thompson still suspended for reasons that still haven't been explained publically.

Small-scale protests have been increasing against the Cellino regime, with chants of 'sell the club and f*** off home' heard at the recent away defeat to Charlton following the controversial withdrawal of six players, with more protests likely to be seen against Rotherham at the weekend.
